Adrew Kishore is a Bangladeshi playback legend. This seasoned singer adapted the skill versatile songs and created an astound portfolio. Andrew Kishore recorded songs not only in Bangla and also in Hindi with some renowned musical personality of Sub-Continent. To honor he astonish career, Andrew Kishore awarded national award multiple times. This humble musical icon of Bangladesh always remembers the people who backed him to where he reached.

Life story of Andrew Kishore:

Adrew Kishore was born on 4th November 1955 in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. His parents are Chandra Baroi and Minu Baroi. He often mentioned in his interview that his parents were his inspiration and idol. Andrew stated his mother taught him to fight against difficult situations and his father was the one to make him more disciplined. He has two siblings, Swapon Kumar Baroi and Dr. Shikha Biswas.

Kishore completed graduation from Rajshahi University in management. He took initial musical lessons from Ostad Abdul Aziz Bacchu at Shur o Bani Musical School. Later through the reference of Debu Bhattacharya, Andrew met with Alam Khan on further training on the musical ground.

Andrew Kishore married to Lipika Andrew. This couple has a son and a daughter. Their daughter “Minim Andrew (Songa)” is studying in Thailand and son “Jay Andrew (Saptok)” is studying in North South University.

Medical issues and controversy with a donation:

This musical legend was suffering from hormone-related medical issues since childhood. Recently things got critical and he lost weight significantly & also his skin color changed. Meanwhile, the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh handed a cheque TK 10 Lac. to Andrew Kishore when she acknowledged the medical condition of this playback king. However, social media reacted about this issue harshly. The Facebook community claimed despite financial stability Andrew received this offer.

Later Samina Chowdhury explained the issue in detail in a facebook status. She stated that Bangladeshi PM had been very enthusiastic regarding cultural activities. So when she acknowledged the medical status of Andrew, the donation PM made based on the concern as a leader and a view of an elder sister to a legend. Despite having financial stability, Andrew received the donation with heartful gratitude to honor the PM.

Recently, the news claimed that Andrew Kishore is suffering from cancer now and he is currently in Singapore for further treatment.

The career of Andrew Kishore:

Andrew Kishore is considered as the playback king of Bangladesh. He had played back 1500+ songs. Andrew had versatile skills in music including Nazrul, Rabindra Sangeet, Folk, and modern songs. It helped him to enlisted in Radio after the liberation war. Andrew left Rajshahi for Dhaka to learn better and find better opportunities. Suddenly he got the opportunity and played back for the first time in the movie “Mail Train”.  The song was “ Ochinpurer Rajkumari, Nei Je Tar Kau”. However, that song did not release.

Meanwhile, during 1977 Andrew Kishore played back again in the movie “Prottiga” for the song “Ekchor Jay Choley”. That song was a massive hit. Since then Andrew started to work continuously and never looked back. In 1985, Andrew Kishore got the break to work with legendary musician R D Burman.

Andrew Kishore had the unique opportunity to work with some music personalities. Including his first two playbacks, Andrew worked numerous times with Alam Khan. Andrew Kishore mentioned multiple times that he was built by Alam Khan.  He also worked with some legends Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, Runa Laila, Sabina Yasmin and many more.
